Philippines e-Visa for Kenyan Citizens

Kenyan citizens holding a valid Kenyan passport do not currently need a visa for short stays of up to 30 days when travelling to the Philippines for tourism, recreation, or family visits, provided they have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, proof of onward/return travel, and confirmed accommodation. This visa-free entry is part of the Philippines’ temporary visitor exemption for many nationalities.

However, for stays longer than 30 days, or if you want to visit for purposes other than short-term tourism (such as business, study, work, or extended travel), Kenyans will need to apply for a Philippine visa. The Philippines e-Visa system now includes Kenya among eligible nationalities as part of its expanded e-Visa programme. Through the official e-Visa portal, Kenyan applicants can request a Temporary Visitor’s Visa (9(a)) online, choosing single-entry or multiple-entry options (e.g., 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year validity) for tourism or business visits.

To apply for an e-Visa, Kenyan travellers typically need a passport with at least six months validity, a recent passport-style photo, travel itinerary, proof of accommodation, and other supporting documents submitted online. Once approved, the e-Visa is issued electronically and must be presented upon arrival. Always check the official Philippine e-Visa website before applying or travelling to confirm the latest eligibility, document requirements, fees, and processing times.
