ACCOMPAGNEMENT EN GESTION DE SECURITE DES PRODUITS | SUIVI DE TERRAIN DES PRODUCTEURS: Projet d'Amélioration des Services Ruraux au Tchad par le développement de l'Agripreneuriat

Facilitating access to farmers' markets requires support for compliance with quality standards, without which access to competitive markets can be compromised.

After the training sessions during which the producers were made aware of and trained on the quality criteria, our entrepreneurship facilitators organize field follow-ups with our producers in order to monitor and evaluate the implementation of these criteria.

The follow-ups carried out with Six Sigma's technical support are based on specific quality criteria, such as hygiene rules, prevention of product contamination, and environmental requirements that each producer must comply with depending on the field of activity. The visits to the sites allowed our facilitators to determine the level of application of the quality criteria by each producer. The facilitators then provided feedback to each producer on their quality performance, while highlighting areas where improvements are needed to achieve better results.

Job Booster Chad and IDH remain committed to carrying out this support to the end with the aim of creating rural entrepreneurs who are aware of and who integrate quality criteria into the production, processing and packaging and transport of their products. This will allow them to access competitive markets where they can sell their products to the satisfaction of their customers.

It should be noted that the project aims to strengthen the resilience of rural producers through the diversification of sources of income. In concrete terms, the project supports 130 rural producers in the creation/structuring and management of agricultural and non-agricultural micro-enterprises in the target provinces of Logone Oriental and Mayo Kebbi East.
