Projet Jeunesse vers l'Emploi Durable: end of recruitment phase.

Job Booster Chad Entreprise proceeded on Monday, September 18, 2023, to the first deployments of trainees selected as part of the Youth towards Sustainable Employment project.

On Monday, September 18, 2023, Job Booster Chad Entreprise was delighted to roll out the first wave of candidates selected for the pre-employment internship as part of the Jeunesse vers l'Emploi Durable (JED) project. After several weeks dedicated to the selection phase, which combined written tests and several training sessions on job search techniques and human skills, 50 candidates were finally selected in over ten fields, to carry out pre-employment internships.

To help these young first-time jobseekers find employment, several organizations have decided to support the JED project initiators by taking on trainees for a four-month period, with the potential to lead to lasting employment. The first deployments took place at the Centre de Recherche d'Innovation et de la Production (CRIPT) and Bet Al NADJA, which were the first structures to express their willingness to host trainees. Metal construction technicians, awareness and career guidance officers, IT technicians, sales agents and accountants were introduced to these two structures in turn, at welcome and contact ceremonies attended by Job Booster Chad Entreprise managers, those of the two companies and the JED project trainees. As the deployment of trainees is progressing according to the schedules of the host structures, two further deployments of trainees took place on September 21 and 25, at the Fondation Dieu Bénit and Tchad 24 respectively. All trainees should be deployed by the end of September.

Following this recruitment phase, another phase will be devoted to monitoring and coaching these young first-time jobseekers, with the aim of guaranteeing them effective professional integration and increasing their chances of employability after their internship.

About the JED project

The Projet Jeunesse vers l'Emploi Durable (JED) is a social project initiated by ESSOR Tchad in partnership with Job Booster Chad Entreprise, and financed by theAgence Française de Développement . It aims to help young Chadian jobseekers enter the workforce by providing them with pre-employment internships in Chadian companies and institutions. More than 500 young people applied for this first wave of recruitment. Based on criteria including age (18 to 35) and résumé quality, 366 candidates were shortlisted for a written test phase. Following the written tests, 75 candidates were selected for training courses. These training workshops focused on job search techniques and human skills (attitude, communication, teamwork, leadership...), facilitated byJob Booster Chad Entreprise with the support of Essor Tchad and Université Populaire. At the end of these training courses, 50 candidates were selected for four-month pre-employment internships.

It's important to stress that we have adopted a market-driven approach that has led us to identify internship opportunities in advance, enabling us to recruit only profiles that meet the needs expressed by the host structures. To date,

The Jeunesse vers l'Emploi Durable project will run for three years, from 2023 to 2026. The initiators of this altruistic project have set themselves the task of facilitating the effective professional integration of some 150 young Chadian job-seekers; a most commendable gesture which should have a significant impact on the employment sector in Chad.
