Agri Job Booster Chad project: Coaching for Agri-Preneurs

As part of the AgriJob Booster (AJB) project, from June 05 to 10, 2023, we organized coaching sessions for agri-preneurs in the five sites of the Western Logone, namely Djoye 1/Tapol, Karkaye/Krim-krim, Dodjigui/Benoye, Bouado/Moundou and Beinamar.

These coaching sessions aim to strengthen the agripreneurs' capacities in practical business aspects and the effective and efficient management of flows from their agricultural production, and to follow up on the practical application of the business training received.

These sessions focused on the following themes:

- Use of accounting management tools | We have helped agripreneurs to use accounting tools to ensure efficient and transparent management.

- Action planning | We helped agripreneurs draw up a road map

- Motivated agripreneurs to be productive and inspire confidence in their farm workers | We motivated agripreneurs to reach their production targets

- Orientation of commercial activities | We helped the agri-preneurs with their sales strategy.

To better achieve our objectives, we adopted a participative approach, focusing on group or individual interviews to gather their perceptions or needs, in order to come up with effective solutions. In addition, we also worked with the farmers, who brainstormed on actions in line with their production objectives and the difficulties hampering their productivity, in order to come up with appropriate solutions.

These business coaching sessions are part of our participation, as a private partner, in the Agri Job Booster Chad project. This project aims to stimulate the creation of decent jobs in Logone Occidental and Tandjilé through the market gardening and poultry value chains. The five (05) year project is co-financed by The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and implemented through a public-private partnership comprising Woord en Daad, CRIPT, N-Bio Solutions, ANADER and Job Booster Chad Entreprise.
