ACCOMPAGNEMENT EN GESTION DE SECURITE DES PRODUITS | SUIVI DE TERRAIN DES PRODUCTEURS: Projet d'Amélioration des Services Ruraux au Tchad par le développement de l'Agripreneuriat

Facilitating producers' access to markets requires support in meeting quality standards, without which access to competitive markets can be compromised.

After the training sessions during which the producers have been made aware of and trained on the quality criteria, our entrepreneurship coordinators organize field follow-ups with our producers to monitor and evaluate the implementation of these criteria.

The monitoring carried out with the technical support of Six Sigma is based on specific quality criteria, such as hygiene rules, prevention of product contamination, and environmental requirements that each producer must respect depending on the area of activity. Visits to the sites enabled our facilitators to determine the level of application of the quality criteria by each producer. The facilitators then provided feedback to each producer on his or her quality performance, highlighting areas where improvement is needed to achieve better results.

Job Booster Chad and IDH remain committed to seeing this support through to the end, with the aim of creating quality-conscious rural entrepreneurs who integrate quality criteria into the production, processing, packaging and transportation of their products. This will give them access to competitive markets where they can sell their products to the satisfaction of their customers.

The project aims to strengthen the resilience of rural producers by diversifying their sources of income. In concrete terms, the project supports 130 rural producers in the creation/structuring and management of agricultural and non-agricultural micro-enterprises in the target provinces of Logone Oriental and Mayo Kebbi Est.
